I have been designing websites since the late 90s. The two sites I currently run (emmettlollis.com and tulsarocknroll.com) were hosted by two separate hosting companies. The pages were small and optimized yet I was experiencing very slow load times. Google's webmaster tools was reporting my site speed to be in the slower half of the web. When I switched a shared VPS plan at JaguarPC my site speed became incredibly fast. Now my site speed is reporting in the top 2% of the internet!
