I have recently upgraded my shared hosting plan to a VPS and all is working very well.

I have a multi-hosted domain in my single VPS account, and am wondering if its possible to set-up a new account on my VPS for this domain and transfer the files and mysql databases across to it. Is this possible, and if so, what steps would I have to take?

I'm guessing step 1 would be add a new account on my vps with the name of the domain, and somewhere down the line unpark the domain from the existing account, but in between I'm not entirely sure.

Having searched around, seems I have to first un-park the domain and then set-up the new account in the VPS.

Can anyone please tell me where the user files are located for each account when logging in to the VPS as root from SSH? My unix skills are kind of rusty.

My guess would be /home/accountusername. That's how it is for most unix installs and that's how it is on every CP server I've ever used. Web root is /home/accountusername/public_html.

If you're moving a multi-hosted domain to a fully independent account, you'll need to make several changes including renaming your databases if you want to access them from Cpanel on the new account. There are several other steps that you'd need to perform without the use of Cpanel and the best way to get this done is to have one of our techs assist you if you're not sure.
