I have a VPS that is less than two months old, ordered during the bigboxes promo. I was just discussing with a collegue of mine or ordered his server 2 days before I did.

I was just writing a PHP script and all of a sudden its telling me that there is an undefined function, and I am thinking, what gives?!

Low and behold, my pretty new VPS was installed w/ CentOS4 and his was CentOS5 which has PHP5. Why wasn't a brand new VPS order setup on a VPS w/ 5. I am extremely dissapointed by this and find it unacceptable. It's like buying a 2009 car and realizing they duped you and gave you a 2008. Seriously unacceptable. I am willing to move my server myself if need to be on a 5 server, although I should not have to.

Its jsut the way the VPS's are loaded onto the server. One tech may always use the Centos5 template whilst another may use a OS4 template. Just submit a support ticket.
