    At a loss

    I have been trying to get a server cloned and moved and restored for over a week now. I get one maybe 2 responses a day back from support on a HIGH Emergency Ticket, and I'm about done. 8 years of loyalty is burnt up.

    PS Just so you know, if there's a lot of data a very large (small?) bottleneck may be the data transfer of the restore itself. That can take a couple of days depending on the amount of data.

    Wow. I'm sorry to hear that.
    I'm sure they'll get right to it now.

    Looks like from your join date you've been around more than 8 years.
    Gonna be 10 in January.
    That's a long time.

    I'm sure they'll fix you right up. JAG has always had the best tech support and customer service in the industry!

    Hello Ceeeeg,

    The reason for the delay is because the techs have their hands tied right now. We are waiting on additional hardware to arrive. We ran out of the models that we run our hybrids on. The hard drive shortage is delaying things a bit. I apologize for this delay. As soon as a box arrives, we will get you on it.

    Wow, they must be selling a lot of Hybrids and disk drives and such to have run out of them.

    Didn't they tell you this in the ticket?

    Is there an ETA of the hardware? And hoping that the Oct. 23rd backups are safe for sure?

    We are selling a lot of Hybrids and VPS but the actual distributors are having shortages. Hard drive prices have doubled in price in a few weeks.

    Yes, they said "We dont have any hybrid server spot available to clone your server now. We will clone it and restore from 23rd backup as soon as new hybrid server is ready to take servers. "

    but this is the last response after a week of trying to get it to happen so it's a bit frustrating at this point. And if I ask in there any info it will take a day to get a response and then a response will need another question and I'm tired of the circles.

    OUCH! A doubling in hard drive prices in weeks! I had no idea this was happening.

    So what do they cost now?

    I just knew it had to be an issue like this. JPC would NEVER leave their customers hanging with a problem.

    They're the best!
    500 GB black drives are up from $80 to $180 - 200 wholesale. If you look at newegg you will see they have limited their drives to 1 per order. Look up the flooding in Thailand and about Western Digital.
