    ??? Instant Sub-Domain Resolution ???

I've set up sub-domains on JagPC before, and it always took a while for them to resolve, like 2-3 days. However, today I set up a sub-domain and it resolved instantly. I thought I was imagining things, so I went through a proxy server on the other side of the world and it went right to my new sub-domain.

Maybe I am wrong. Here it is if you want to test it yourself:I'm V happy about this, so don't get me wrong, but how can this be

They may have renabled DNS wildcards. Essentially, what that means is that they add a record to the end of your DNS table named "*." If the DNS server tries to resolve a name, and it reaches the * with no match, it resolves to the IP address of that record--kind of like the way the email catch all thing works. Since all of your subdomains have the same IP address as your main domain, this works quite well.

It used to be a standard feature back before the servers were moved to texas, but was disabled during the moves. It may have been reenabled now. Or, you may have hit it just right that your ISP's nameservers just happened to have your domain records expire as soon as your added the new subdomain, forcing them to fetch the records again, getting the newly added domain in the process--but that would be quite a coincidence...

Assuming this is SOP now, it rocks! But, then again, that's what I've grown to expect from JagPC...

I haven't had problems adding subdomains to my account. They always resolve after I add them... I don't know if the wildcard subdomains feature has something to do with it... Maybe that's the trick, because I requested wildcard subdomains for my account to be enabled...

I also requested wildcarding again for this very reason. I added a subdomain and it took three days to start resolving. For this particular one it wasn't a big deal, but I anticipated making (and have since made) others with more urgency.

I dunno... your home-grown relative paths (to the pics) don't look right or something. I don't know what you're running, or how you have it setup, but try making the paths to the pics absolute and see if that works...

Okay, 403 means no permission - 404 means the pic isn't there to start with. However, error messages are dumb, so it could be that the pic IS there, but I (the user) don't have permission to view the pic. So, the first thing I would do, as a web admin, is to CHMOD the directory the images are in to (octal) 777 and see what happens...
