    No ftp throught dreamweaver

I do not understand what has happened with my ability to ftp my files through Dreamweaver. I used to be able to do it, and I haven't changed any of my settings. Basically when I try to connect I get "waiting for server" and then after awhile I get "the connection to the remote host has been lost". So, basically I am not able to ftp my files using this method. My remote info settings are:
    Access: FTP
FTP Host: the ip address for my site
    Host Directory: www/
While I am at this window I test the web server and it is able to connect to it.
So, what is going on here? Can anyone please help me? This method is a lot better for me than doing it from the file manager, since it is very confusing to navigate through.
    Thanks

Me too. Seems like sometime recently, my DreamWeaver stopped being able to upload files via FTP. I'm on the Zinc server. Maybe this timeframe corresponds to when JaguarPC switched that server to use PureFTPd. So I switched back to manual FTP using WS_FTP. My WS_FTP is using passive mode, but my Dreamwever settings wasn't.

So guess what, when I switched my Dreamweaver setting to use passive mode, it started working again.

Also, be aware that JPC is in the process of changing everyone's IP addreses, soif you are connecting to ftp by IP it will eventually stop working. You should consider changing from IP to domain name to avoid interuption.
