    Multiple FTP Sessions?

I use an FTP client to upload my graphics etc and use BBEdit for editing my text because it can edit files off of FTP. But I get an error 22714 everytime I try to save or open a file through FTP while my FTP Client is connected, which would imply it's not allowing me to have multiple sessions open at once. Anyone know how to fix that? Thanks!

What does error 22714 mean? Is there any explaniation to go along with it. I know Macs are notorious for unhelpful error messages (al la "The application has unexpectedly quit because an error of type 10 occured"), but if there is any indication of what's going on, please share. I've never had a problem with multiple FTP sessions, I don't think, but I'm not sure that I've actually ever tried.

those kind of application unexpectedly quit messages disappeared with the debut of OS X a few years ago. Not that error messages on OS X or Windows are any clearer, but that's beside the point.

Opening multiple sessions of ftp in my ftp client program gives the error "Too many connections (3) from the IP" when i try to open a 3rd. Usually with just two apps i wouldn't need a 3rd connection but i guess one of them is keeping a connection active after it's done doing something... or something so i can't get another connection. Anyone know how to bump the connect number to 8?

It wouldn't be something that you'd be able to change youself. Perhaps pleading your case with support would get them to adjust the setting on your server, but they likely have things set the way they do for a reason.
