    I've seen similar reports before. There is probably some truth to
    them.

    I think you have to have to have more than the first and last
    letter correct for the message to be read eaisly.

    I don't know if there has been an actual study done about this (although I'd imagine it wouldn't be circulating the Net the wayu it is if there wasn't one done somewhere. I've had a similar passage taped to my office door for several months now.

    Parlor tricks aside, I've noticed that most of the spam that has been 'getting through' lately has been taking on this format. Actually, it's a dandy way to beat 'the system.'

    What SPAM? Almost half of the messages I get those days come like this. It's called "type fast, never re-read your messages" format

    the sounds cannot be broken up. randomly arranging the inner letters still makes things hard.

    The reason for this theory is that our eyes get adjusted to reading word as a whole picture. So what happens is that if the mis-spelled word is very close in shape to the correct word, the brain does not take much notice of it. (That's why spelling mistakes happen in the first place even after proof read)

    If our eyes start spelling each word, it would take months to read a book

    Interesting stuff.
