    JaguarPC Awesome Awesome

Thanks go out to Greg and crew for supporting my sites. http://computercops.biz broke 200,000 page hits in a single day just yesterday. http://nukecops.com broke 100,000 page hits in a single day just yesterday.

Nuke Cops gets 2 million plus hits per month, and Computer Cops is on par with 4.5 million for this month alone.

2004 hits at Computer Cops up to yesterday effectively exceeded all of 2003 page hits. Wow!

    What more can be said?

    Keep up the great work.

Wow.... What stats program are you using to measure that number of hits?

    Thanks

The stats programs are part of the portal code at each site. You can see by clicking on the Statistics link.

So on Webalizer, for instance, which number are you using for "hits"? I'd just LOVE to see a bit of that page!!! Can you post a screen shot for me?

Thanks a heap... Congratulations, that amount of volume is so cool!

I don't use webalizer personally, but you can refer to something like this... this is the public facing script:

I wasn't doubting, I was just interested in seeing the stats page. Interested in bytes, files, hits, unique IPs, average visit length/pages, effectiveness of compression, things like that.

I assumed a person on a semi-dedicated plan would have more than 2,000 page hits a day.

    That's 200,000, not 2,000.

Yes, of course, Ron. My fault! And, you weren't referring to my site when you picked "2,000 page hits a day" out of the ether between your ears.

My site is a one-man operation --- what can be roughly described as a personal presence page. I use it stricly for testing purposes, as stated in the 'Welcome Message.' More specifically I use it to test ppl's reaction to my hacks. I do this through unscientific statistical analysis, product requests, PM's, blah, blah, blah. In other words, it's a quasi-sounding board for my web dev pursuits. I'm surpised that ppl visit my site in those numbers et al.

While the page views are low, you should remember that I don't have that many pages to view in the first place. Of more consequence, to me, is the fact that ppl from 50 countries visit my website each day; a site with basically nothing to offer other than a quick peek into what I'm developing (or VinDSLifiying as some put it). That's pretty amazing in itself, don't you think?

I think your site is just fine and probably far superior to anything that I could ever create, and probably will generate more traffic than any of mine ever will.

I was just wondering how you might feel with a hugely negative critique slammed down your throat in an offensive manner.

    That's cool only 9,000+.

My site, it's in the 1,900,000+.

Well, it's cause my site is a bit boring. But I don't care.
