A political bombthrower was Michael Moore.
A "documentarian" by trade, nothing more.
He milked his blind sheep
as they critiqued not a peep.
That director will never be poor.

What is penned is meant as provocative
Inviting response in kind as evocative.
But to warrant a reply
A limerick you must supply
Lest a raspberry you'll get that I'm loathe to give.
I was tweaking a script for my site
And found I had worked through the night
For this thing 'PHP'
Is mysterious to me
But it now seems to be working right.
Spath's challenge then set me to thinking
And I'll tackle this chore without blinking
But his metrical blunder
Has caused me to wonder
Just what in the hell he's been drinking.
When producing a true documentary
One fact seems to me elementary
That this guy Michael Moore's
A revisionist whore
Though I know that is not complimentary.
I know that this thinking's not deep
But 'on topic' I'm trying to keep
Now fatigue has caused tears
I've drunk too many beers
And I think that I'll go get some sleep.

Gravity, more than a good idea, it's the law!
My head is spinning with rhyming,
but alas I am lacking the timing,
and I've failed in this feat,
so I'll have to repeat,
The same damn word, that's 'rhyming'.
So this thread reviles Mike Moore,
And his pandering, which is a bore,
But he takes time,
to spew forth his slime,
Which contains less fact than lore.
Mike Moore, it's said, is a liar,
Whose skill is stoking the fire,
He's loose with the facts,
and his blatant attacks,
Are all aimed at provoking your ire.
Don't get me started on Fat Mike,
For it's obvious that him I don't like,
And if we were kids,
I'd burn all his vids,
And bend all the wheels on his trike.
This thread has a purpose so vague
That clarification I beg
Must it be Michael Moore
Or just limericks by score
Or was Spath simply pulling my leg?
When recording events as they pass
The recorder should always show class
But one thing is quite clear
From Lokki's post here
Mike Moore has his head up his ......

Gravity, more than a good idea, it's the law!
As people have posted en masse
On the contents of Mr. Moore's ass
It's abundantly clear
That what we have here
Is commonly called a "morass".
In writing a limerick fine
First line syllables 8 or 9
Third and Fourth have 6
Or 5 in the mix
And meter's important as rhyme
I thought in this thread I might dread,
But surprise did I find in its stead.
As I look around
And see talent abound,
I may be in over my head!
One finds one's self wondering aloud
Why Moore's work seems to draw such a crowd
It can't be his diction
So must be his fiction
Such deception should not be allowed!
This thread's like a runaway train
And I'm sure people find it inane
Though my PC is humming
The rhymes won't stop coming
Please stop me 'ere I go insane!

Gravity, more than a good idea, it's the law!
Another challenge of use,
Whose rules should be kept quite loose,
is to fraggle the herds,
and make up some words,
And post in the style of Seuss!
This 'Old Frog' has questioned intent
On the rules set forthwith to vent.
That M. Moore is mentioned
Is surely intentioned,
On all else I'm less than hell-bent.
You people all hate Mike Moore
But I wonder whatever for
Maybe his head's up his behind
But more likely you've got a closed mind
I always enjoy his rantings galore
And fiction I have yet to find
Moore seems a poor subject to me
But if he's what the topic's to be
Then you must be content
To just hear us vent
Though just what it serves I don't see.
Gravity, more than a good idea, it's the law!
Oh, this one more issue of note
Before writing verse worthy of rote.
Please keep it clean,
Well, just not obscene,
So please, now post quote after quote.
