    Renewed calls for alternative browsers

So after another round of IE hacks, we have another round of renewed calls for alternative browsers.

"Microsoft also is developing a specific fix for the new vulnerability, but [Microsoft security director] Schare said testing takes time. He called it premature for independent security experts to recommend that people explore alternatives."

Yes, testing does take time so some grace period is appropriate as long as the new code is not rushed out to let the public beta test the "final" product. But the idea that it is premature to recommend exploration of other alternatives? You've gotta be kiddin' me?!

When will people learn? <(*)> (best improv of a shaking-head gif emoticon)

    Windows is a fine OS.

Only fools use Internet Explorer. I've been hearing this since 1996. What else do you want to talk about?

What are your plans for the 4th? I've had enough fireworks for a while...

    Exactly.

I can imagine. Aside from coding and browsing with my non-IE browsers, I hadn't really thought about it. Maybe catch a ball game.

BTW, for those of you that refuse to heed 'our' continual warnings...

If you've accessed eBay or PayPal in the last few weeks, you better read this:
