So after another round of IE hacks, we have another round of renewed calls for alternative browsers.

Yes, testing does take time so some grace period is appropriate as long as the new code is not rushed out to let the public beta test the "final" product. But the idea that it is premature to recommend exploration of other alternatives? You've gotta be kiddin' me?!
