    Angry Newbie with a problem

I run an organization called the Mid South Metal Society (www.midsouthmetal.com). The guy that built my site has bailed on me, and something is wrong with the site. This is what it says when I check the database:

    "jmidsout_msms.xmb_attachments
warning : Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
warning : 1 clients is using or hasn't closed the table properly
warning : Size of indexfile is: 10240 Should be: 4096
error : Wrong bytesec: 0-0-0 at linkstart: 9411764
    error : Corrupt"

When I try to view forums on the site, I get this message:

    "Can't open file: 'xmb_attachments.MYI'. (errno: 144)"

If anyone could help in any way, I would be eternally grateful. Alot of local and regional musicians use the site for communication and I'm sure they are freakin' out right now.

    Thanks

Hrm... I hope you have a recent backup of your forums db!

You might try to repair it with phpMyAdmin...

Shame on you, Spath, for whatever you did. I had no problem whatsoever getting into the forums and seeing the topics and threads. With any attempt to access a thread, however, I got the same error that El Jefe did.

Hey, and I don't even like 'metal'!

Haha, you did nothing wrong I'm sure. My e-ignorance gets the blame here. I'll most likely use the backup.

As far as you being 'suspicious'....we have only banned a couple people from the site over the last two years, is it possible that something of yours resembes something of theirs??? I dunno.

    Thanks for your replies.
