Its a bad hack job for now but hehe, ya its up . I'll tweak it a bit more later. Ive got more important things to ..."tweak" right now.

And just after I was getting used to the old board. This relearning stuff is going to push something important out of my brain.Originally Posted by Jag

Renders incorrectly in both IE and Firefox. Even at 1280x1024, you must scroll right/left in forums where there are many pages of topics (like this one.) The edit screen also has layout problems.
Tons of wasted screen real estate - I feel for the poor folks still at 800x600. In both IE and Firefox, at 800x600, you can't even see the start of the text post without scrolling down. Also at this resolution, there are a number of areas where you must scroll left/right to see the whole page.
Layout sucks - who wants to see the poster's info repeated at the top of every message? At least when it was to the side, it was easier to ignore.
Sigh...forums should convey information clearly, cleanly and effectively. I give the new forum software a "D-" on all accounts.
Sincerely,
The Critic
does anyone know where to limit that dumb page link thats causing the window to be so wide?

Wow. This is great. I'm glad you upgraded. Once all the kinks are worked out, it will much easier to use. The only thing I noticed that's not right are the smilies.

OK Jag - I'll retract a few of the rants, seeing as how you addressed them so fast.
Placing the user info on top of the post was the biggest "ugly" - glad to see it back to the left, where it belongs...![]()
The board has completly changed. I had to log in again to post this question.
It took me a 1/2 dozen clicks from a new log in to get where I wanted to go.
What ever changes have been made I don't like them!!!!!
For me the changes have made the forum unusable and therfore worthless.
Just another point. Previewd the reply. All the text is in blue. I like blue but not when every word is in blue.
To me this is really screwy. Agan I don't like the changes that have taken place in the last few hours. I know my likes and dislikes are not important. I hope enough others are dissatisfied with the new board to join me in protrest.
Edit some of my rant.![]()

I'm sure that there are good reasons for upgrading to VB3; however, I am left with the impression that they are all under the hood, so to speak. The new forums look disgusting: the layout seems large, overly chunky -- I'm tempted to say amaturish -- and flashy, as if eye candy were more important than the forums' contents (perhaps to vBulletin's design staff it is?) If it were up to me, I'd :smilie_fl VB3 and stick to the pleasant VB2 interface.
That's my 2 cents.
EEEK!!!!
/me runs off scared
I actually like the look of this. Of course there's a few things here and there, but I wouldn't expect anything else at this time.
