I started this thread some time ago in the reseller section and Im now bring it here for the public so we can fine tune and finish this system in accordance with client demands. I beleive this product goes beyond just benefiting resellers, although it does greatly, and so lets begin.

We will get this in place as soon as I have the feature set you guys most desire in this program. What started out as a mod to our backend is now underway as an entire new software rewrite for our clients. Some of the things coming soon are :

RESELLERS

New online manual for reseller end users directed to >www.supportbin.com

New resold client login interface directed to > www.userbin.com

USERBIN
- You will upload your logo for your clients interface.
- You will be able to define your gateways/paypal for your clients to pay you using your own merchant account and our software.
- Define your authnet information to handle realtime transactions for your clients using your own merchant.
- Define custom html page for integrated auto signup done from our system.
- Pull reports of signups (per day,week,month, cancellations, etc).
- Integrating a clone of our support system into the userbin.com site for you to use for your clients. Ties directly into your account, includes an ability for you to push an issue from a client to us under your name, whereby we reply to you in our ticket system.

This project in under construction and may not be ready until late Jan . You may add feature requests right here and we will take a look at them form time to time until a more official feature/bug reporting tool is established.

VPS/VDS
We have completed initial testing and installing of various platforms and software to begin our VPS/VDS line of products.

Having a vps account inclues full root access control over your server, daemons, you name it. Treat the machine like your own without affecting other VPS' on the same physical server. We plan to roll this line out at or near our semi-dedicated price range.

Most exciting part of the vps' is the fact you can add cpanel to your vps with full whm root admin control panel for just $10 mo. Each of your clients you setup in whm will of course have cpanel for their account. Yuor in full control and there is no limits on how many clients you add per vps. Its up to you to control the load on your vps.

It you need more vps' you can of course buy more just like any other account. This is where the new reseller system really shines though. With mutiple vps' you can login to the client section (or userbin.com) and define which vps server you want your newsignups to go on.

for example:
you buy a vps machine and have all your clients in the new userbin.com site. New signups (which will be instant signup or queued , up to you) are setp on your vps. You do great with sales and realize you need another vps or dedicated server so you buy another from us. Now in the userbin area you can change remote access keys to your new vps and set it as your signup server so all new orders get created there.

Thats just one example of how this could be used. Another is just for people that need a programming or testing server crash the server without affecting the other vps' on that machine.

You will have full root access and we need people that can also strain a vps or machine as well as those that just want to test running an application or site on a private server of their own. There will be no costs involved, we will pay for temp cpanel licenses of those who wish to try cpanel out on the vps (and we must have some test that) .

I need people that know their way around whm/cpanel.
I need people that dont want cpanel but want to test other applications.
I need people that want to just try root access out.
I need people that want to crash test their vps server.
I need peolpe that just want to run a normal site/server.

there will be a seperate non-public beta test and feedback forum that you must give feedback in

The number of testers is limited to 15 and will start immediately as you are taken in as a tester.

Quick Q&A :

Will we still offer the current reseller plans (pay per acocunt) ?
YES

[BWould it be possible have a full indepth feature list of the new system, and what stage you are at with it (i.e Beta Testing, Still in Development, Not Even Started)[/B]
Its still in development for the most part, some completed sections are in testing, few parts have passed testing. I wont post a feature list yet other than what gets talked about in these few posts.

I know in the other Thread you talked about a Skinable billing and Support System, but what will it do, i.e we provide our own Support, Staffed by You, Mix of Both were we Can "pass" Tickets on to your Staff in need be?
You still provide your own support. It would be interesting to have co-op support where we can sell you support hours provided by an outsrouced team but that will not even be considered until after this project....one thing on the plate at a time.

What Payment Gateways will be Supported, will you consider a "Generic" gateway (I process CC offline for added Fruad protection, I dont like Auto Gateways, Cleint Exec my Current Billing software as a rather secure way of Handling this, one of the better I have seen..)
Its a customizable interface, your free to not use auto signup and process orders in your queue anyway you see fit. Right now it supports authorize.net and paypal. We may add more to it before we being using it/release it , we wil definitely add more after release.

Can I have resellers on a vps/vds ?
Sure! Whm/cpanel allows for reseller accounts and since you will have full root control and whm/cpanel (if you add that) you can add resellers and/or accounts to your hearts desire.

When will beta testing begin ?
Now, starting with the VPS portion - PM me .

Is this vps/vds product limited to resellers
No, Absolutely not!

Do I need to use a live site, my current site, or any production content to get in the beta testing?
No. In fact I strongly urge you to not use anything production or that you value. We will be whiping all the accounts, maybe even the server, when this beta testing is complete.

Offering VPS/VDS is a good idea, I guess. There are ppl out there looking for that kind of hosting, so it makes good business sense, I suppose. Go for it!

Personally, I was offered a free, unlimited VPS/VDS account, about a year ago, but I decided to stay here because I like this place. The only thing that bothers me about JagPC, is I don't have BASH. I can get this with VPS/VDS, elsewhere, even for free, but I would rather host here than have BASH. If you offer BASH with VPS/VDS hosting - that's the route I'm taking.

Having said that, and I'm being perfectly honest, the only reason I signed up here originally is because the sign-up page said JagPC offered Linux and FreeBSD hosting.

If you have BSD here, I have yet to see it, but I don't care because JagPC makes up for it in other ways.

So, to wrap this up, VPS/VDS doesn't mean jack to me, unless I have BASH access. Short of that, I'll stick with what I have. But, the fact of the matter is, FreeBSD would mean the world to me. BSD trumps everthing else in my book!

I started reading the rest of your thread, but it's giving me a headache, so I quit again.

Look, if you want 15 guinea pigs, I'll be glad to sacrifice my site to the effort. My web site is strictly webdev in nature anyway. I've had a million and a half page views since I've been here. My site hammers your MySQL server 100k times an hour, or more, and you guys have never complained, so I owe you, blah, blah, blah...

I'll be glad to play along, if you desire. No skin off my nose! It might be fun! Just let me backup my site before you switch me over.

You know, yur right. I did put up freebsd and started to set some up so that clients could have a choice of Os even on shared plans. I will persue it again and try to push out the first few freebsd shared servers by the new year. On the vpds/vds you will have full root (that means bash, ssh, whatever you want) .

testing is NOT limited to reseller types. This just a product many resellers may benefit from, but that in no way excludes any others from getting one.

Just an update to all those that are following this but not testing it. We are making progress and have indentified some issues. We will continue to work on correcting them and bring a stable product to our clients soon.

We have ended Beta testing of the vps product. We are ready to go live with this new product line from a support and operational standpoint. We are waiting for a shipment of machines to announce the new plans and features. Stay tuned ....

Thanks from me too, Jag. I enjoyed working around the VPS CPanel/WHM. I didn't have as much time to test with it as I would have liked -- my Dad went in for surgery on 12/6 and is just now a week out of rehab and getting back on his feet.

I have been getting inquiries from people on webhosting -- I'd love to upgrade my accounts and resell them somehow, sort of like owning a duplex or "3decker" and using the rent to help pay the mortgage. On the other hand, I'm not sure that I'd like to deal with all the customer support issues....

So of course I just renewed 2 accounts for 2 years each on the GigaDeal -sigh-
