    If you're running FireFox, there is a handy extension, called FoxyTunes, that allows you to control Winamp without leaving your browser (and MANY other players too!).

    Heh! I'm a power-user, or power-waster, depending on how you look at it...

    First of all, I don't use Outlook Express. That's what my wife uses. I used Outlook (not Outlook Express) at one time, but I get too many mails these days. Outlook locks-up at around 15k e-mails (in one folder - like Inbox), and I often have 25k-50k incoming mails sitting in my account[s]. So, I use SquirrelMail exclusively these days. IMAP (on JagPC) freaks out at around 75k mails, so I limit my mail accounts to 100MB (about a week's worth of mail).

    Anyway, I'm running W2K on an Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz machine with 1GB (2x512) OCZ PC-3200 high-performance memory and a set of striped SATA drives. This thing isn't even breathing hard...

    I know I'm going OT here, but you wanna see something really sick?

    C: = 200GB Seagate
    D: = Dual 80GB Striped Maxtors

    I'm only using 18.4GB out of 335GB...

    Um...

    In case you're wondering about the 'Removable Disks', I have a 6-IN-1 Card Reader in this machine. It reads 6 different memory card formats (for various digital cameras). Since it has 4 slots, Windows sees it as 4 'removable drives'...

    dang..

    you know whats really sad.. you have all of that free space! I would have all of that full with um.. "stuff".

    How are you getting so much mail, are you getting that much spam? Have you tried Mozilla's mail to see if it locks up?



    back to the topic:

    on a side note, those who are saying "yeah a new release".. really its just a security fix to a buffer overflow problem in 5.05.

    At least they are still patching up those pesky bugs in their software.

    LoL! Yeah, I get spammed alright!

    To tell you the truth, I don't even look at mail any more, unless I'm expecting something. I just purge them.

    might I suggest you use some spam filters, jeeeze.. that or quit signing up with your real email. hahah. :P

    thats insane.. should call you mr.gates (if you read that article about him getting 4 mil spam a day).
