Any Harry Potter fans out there?

I am awfully late to this party, but Amazon is taking pre-orders for the 6th Harry Potter book. They claim they will ship the book to arrive on or just after the official release date.

In reading their press release on the matter, they said that for the 5th book, they had -get this- 1.3 million pre-orders.!!!!

Anyway, the book lists for $29.99 and they sell at 40% off, so it'll be $17.99 and if your total order is > $25 you can get free shipping (there are some restrictions on the free shipping, you'll have to look them up).

Here's a link to the book at Amazon if you guys (or gals) want to read up on it.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6) by J K Rowling, Mary GrandPre (Preorder: Ship date July 16, 2005)

Sweeeeeeeet! I think I'd better go ahead and do this cuz it'll take forever to find it in bookstores once it comes out. Thanks Ron!

I'll be at the bookstore at Midnight, just like I was when the 5th book came out. I was interviewed by the local newspaper and CBS televison affiliate. I was second in line too.

I just check our distributors ordering page(ingram) and they have almost 600,000 copies on order for the first printing. Add that to all the other major companies and you have one huge release.
