Now they're driving me batty! lolol

You have to be subscribed to the thread, and with the correct subscription type, and you'll get'em.

It's gonna take a while to get this down pat.

I can't imagine how I knew you just posted! lol

Seems like there is still a bug with the e-mail notification. I have it set for no notification, and I'm still getting them.

Are you setting it in your control panel, Connie? I think you have to unsubscribe from the threads individually after you're subscribed.

There's the "Default Thread Subscription" option under "Options" in your User/CP, but there's also "List Subscriptions" where you can unsubscribe one at a time (or page-by-page, if you click on the top check box).

Where it ask if you want e-mail notification for subscribed threads I have it set to "no e-mail notification". I guess I will turn of the subscribe to threads off. I know a lot of you guys/gals like to get the notifications. I don't. I check the forum 2 or 3 times a day anyway just to see what is going on. So for me the e-mail notification is just another piece of Junk e-mail to delete.

Anyway you all that like to get the notices lived without them for years, so I guess I can live with them if I have too.

While the system wasn't functioning, you were silently subscribing to a gazillion (or more) threads. Once you've got the default set to "no email notifications" (or whatever the exact phrase is), and you've unsubscribed yourself from all those that you subscribed to without knowing it, you should be allllll setttttt.

Ron, I have never subscribed to receiving e-mail from anyone other than Admins. When the rest of you started receiving the e-mails I did too. I check the user CP and my original settings had been reset. I made the appropriate changes and saved them. I kept getting e-mail notification of new post on any thread I had posted in.

I'm not bit****. I'm glad for those of you who want the notifications. The only reason I said anything was hoping Greg would see the post and look into the problem. It is not enough of an issue to open a support ticket about. Perhaps Greg has read to post. I did not get the notification on your reply.

I participate actively in a couple of other forums. If I received e-mail from each of them some days that could amount to 20 or more notifications. Add a few from my occasional post here and hopefully you will see where I'm coming from.

What part don't you get? You were subscribing, but you didn't know it. You have to go into your user/cp and unsubscribe from all the threads to which you are now subscribed.

    Here aer the steps...
    1) at the bottom of this page is a drop down menu. Click on the arrow, then use the scroll bar to scroll UP until you see the word "subscriptions" , then click on "subscriptions."
    2) A little way down on the right side of that page, you'll see a table. In the column header of that table is the word "notification" with a check box next to it. click on that check box, and all the check boxes below it will also be checked.
3)scroll to the bottom of the table, you'll see a drop-down box labelled "Selected Threads:" with "Move to folder..." currently selected. Change that selection to "Delete Subscription", and click on go.
    4) repeat 2 and 3 as necessary.

    Good luck.

If you can't figure it out, open a ticket and ask someone to log in and make the change for you -- it'll take them 2 minutes.
