    Parked/Pointed domain feature

Clients will now be able to add/remove parked and multi-hosted domains from their control panel themselves. The limit of parked and multi-hosted domains is as follows:

    100 Parked domains
    5 Multi-hosted domains

Any additional multi-hosted domain must be requested through the ticket system just as you've done in the past. Additional pointers over the allowance of 5 will incur the same $15 setup charge.

You can use the above two features only if the domain is
already registered and pointing to our name servers.

I'm not sure this is actually working. I've had to open support tickets twice this month to add multihosted domains as the cpanel wouldnt allow me to do it. Granted, support here is wonderful, but it would be nice if it worked as stated in this thread.

It seems to not allow you to add a multihosted domain if that domain already exists somewhere else. I was moving a site from another host to my account here and the multihosting tool kicked me out because an nslookup revealed the site was using DNS servers that were not JPC's. I don't know if this is intended as a security feature (to prevent people from trying to hijack domains or whatever), but it is inconvenient if you don't want to (and why would you) take an existing site off line before moving it.

Perhaps a better explanation of when you can and can't use the automated features should be posted somewhere.

That would be a bad move.

I know the old timers have heard me say this before, but I used to have an ISP that (only) updated their zone files, like, every month or two, or whenever you complained about it enough, whichever came first. So, I can tell you from personal experience that it's REALLY not a good idea to shut down an old site, even AFTER moving it - not for a while...
