    Nessus Scan?

    I would like to do a Nessus scan on my site, but I dont want to interfear with the operation of other any other VPS. Anyone think this would cause a problem?

    While we're on the subject, can anyone recommend an alternative vulnerability scanner? I probably don't fully understand Nessus, but it seems to give alot of false positives.

    If your scanning just your vps ip, no it shouldnt.
    Please dont scan the main hardware ip if you know it.

    You could try snort for penetration testing as well.
