Angry Moving existing site from Tripod

Well I'm trying to figure out the best way to move by brother's website from tripod to a new account in my bulk reselling account. Unforunately it does not use C-panel, so the easy "Jag move this site for me" option is out... The site isn't incredibly large, maybe 75MB, I'm just having trouble thinking of the best way to move it. Perhaps using a program to download everything from that site into a big file and then uploading all that to my jag server? I just dont know I would really appreciate any help, if you need more details let me know!

    Thanks!

In the old days, I used to backup my web site to my local PC using FTP -- maintaining the directory tree. It's s-l-o-w, but works every time. Then, when I moved to a new host, I would simply copy everything from the backup on my local PC to the new server, once again, maintaining the tree.

His sql db is a different matter. I don't know how you would move that without shell access, or at least a cPanel, but the chances are -- he doesn't even have a db if he's hosted at Tripod...

In a crunch, you can use Internet Explorer, but it is totally featureless. I don't think it supports auto-resume, et cetera...

Personally, my favorite FTP client (for years) has been WS_FTP: http://www.ipswitch.com/products/ws_ftp/index.asp

Before that, my favorite was BulletProof FTP: http://www.bpftp.com/

I cut my teeth on CuteFTP: http://www.cuteftp.com/

I've read LOTS of good things about SmartFTP, but never used it: http://www.smartftp.com/

So, take your pick. WS_FTP is the best, but they all will do the job for you...

BTW, I'm not an FTP fan either. I use SSH/SCP these days -- specifically WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php

However, you need shell access to use it, which I highly doubt they give you at Tripod. Still, this would be a great way to upload the files to JagPC...

Do they offer a double your money-back guarantee?

    Talking

hehe, I'm sure you'll get every penny back :-) I downloaded all my files into a nice folder and now I need to get them into the account I just made in jag, I can't use the domain name to upload with ftp, is there another way to upload? like ftp.zeus.nocdirect.com/~user ? I tried that and it didn't work but maybe a different way? Perhaps it would be easier to use that program to mentioned to upload the files to Jag? thanks guys,
EDIt never mind, I can upload using the ftp of my other site on this server with the new site username!

I don't normally use FTP but here is the link for FileZilla. http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla. It will work fine for what you want to do.

    Dam you all are fast.

Sure you get double what it cost. I will say that FileZilla is the only FTP program (of several I have) that will upload my Froogle feeds without an error. It can't be all bad.
