I guess from reading this we won't be seeing a new design anytime soon. That really stinks. Hope you guys figure out what to do with what you've got.

Looking Out - Playing Bloodletting
Ouch...sorry to hear about your experience, Jag.

Yeah, those clowns are really upsetting. We're talking with a few other firms we think should be able to finish our design.

Hrm...
This Satya Saga sounds familiar. I've known a lot of Satya's over the years. I probably even got a little 'Satya' in me...
Assuming my limited observations are correct, this Satya is an artsy-fartsy type of person. When the mood strikes, he's probably creative as all get-out, but when the 'juices' aren't flowing, he's probably worthless as a titmouse.
You, Jag, undoubtedly lead a structured, dogmatic existence -- the total opposite of the freethinking reprobate that you're dealing with here. If I have it pegged right, I doubt that any amount of coersion and duress is going to get this guy to 'move'. Now that you've throw down the gauntlet, all that's left is a brawl.
All I can tell you is, the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Make enough noise, and perhaps you will get recompensated, but I highly doubt that the web (re)design thingie is going to happen, no matter what... but I'm sure you're aware of this already...
DISCLAIMER Any resemblance between the views expressed above and those of the owners and operators of this system is purely coincidental. Any resemblance between these views and my own are non-deterministic. The existence of Vin DSL is questionable. The existence of views in the absence of anyone to hold them is problematic. The existence of the reader is left as an exercise in the second-order coefficient.
Actually our threats arent just threats and we have made good on them inthe past and will do it again. Apparantly Satya has realized this at least in some small part becuase he has contacted me and began dishing more of the work out to us we have paid for. Its not nearly everything we contracted them to do but at least its a few more peices of source we can give to a new firm to work with and complete.
Well at least we're in contact again so let us see where this goes.

Yes that does suck.
Alot of these compaines are afraid to turn down work. I have never understood it myself, I have turned down projects several time either because I did not have the time to pull it off, or it was outside of my Technical ablity to do.
But some firms will take any and all work offered to them and then they get soo behind their reputation suffers,
The Repuation is everything in this business, so I dont understand why they take the risk
Jag, I would still drop him like a bad habit even if he tries to make good on the deal. a Contract is a Contact, if he did not preform the required functions in the time alloted screw him, if he could not get it done, he should not have accepted the contract
