Stuck with lycos for domain name hosting

Hello all, I convinced my brother to switch his domain name over to my jag server from tripod(ick!) but I am stuck with tripod/lycos for the domain name hosting for at least 60 days(i'd rather get my moneys worth for the whole year, but not sure if I'll be able to stand them that long) anyway, unlike yahoo domains or jag's domain registrar, I'm having trouble figuring out how lycos does this... I have the domain pointing to my jag server, however I can't find anywhere to get the email set up right to send it to the jag server, they allow forwarding, but I dont see anyway to get the mx mail servers set up? any ideas>? will having jag as the dns servers be enough to get the mail heading in the right direction? thanks everyone, I really appreciate your help

EDIT - ahh, it looks like once I changed my name servers the little mail forwarding page is inaccessable, and the note at the bottom of the change dns page said that mail forwarding and pop mail wouldn't no longer work if you change the dns, so I suppose it will all get forward to my server now... I'll have to test that assumption once some propogration takes place!

If you've switched the DNS server entries to use JPC's servers then you're all set--everything will go directly to your JPC server now, web, mail, ftp, ehatever.

If you decided to transfer teh registration from Lycos to AletiaNIC or another registrat, you won't loose any of the time you've already purchased. Most registrars charge you for a year of service when you transfer to them, but they add that year on to whatever time you have left with teh current registrar. So if you purchased a year from Lycos and then transferred to AletiaNIC, your expiration date post transfer would be 2 years from the date you originally registered with Lycos.

Actually, that is usually but not always the case: if you transfer a domain name very shortly (< 90 days) after registration or renewal you in some cases do loose registration time you paid for (the time you paid for at the old registrar IIRC), or cannot transfer (yet) at all.
