The icon is required if you have enabled the threaded mode, because if a user is going to reply to a post and s/he doesn't specify to which post he's replying to, the system would work just like the linear mode.Originally Posted by Jag

This 'Quick Reply' hack is also used for editing messages, or so it would appear. If my eyes aren't fooling me, this 'Quick Edit' component is even cooler than the 'Quick Reply' feature!
