Service Problems

G'day,

Earlier today (about 6 hours ago) I suddenly experienced problems connecting to ANYTHING at JaguarPC. I couldn't get to any of my email accounts (on two different servers), or any of my web sites (on a heap of different servers), the JaguarPC web site, or these forums.

Yet I had Internet access to anything else on the web!

Then, about 15 or so minutes later, everything went back to normal.

But right now, I'm getting a partial outage again.

I can connect to servers and get email. But on one server it seems MySQL isn't working.

Does anyone know what's going on?

And now, after 10 minutes or so it's come back again.

it could be anything, the system wide outage may not even be Jag related. Back bone routers go down time to time, things get mis-routed.

or JAG's NOC router could have gone down.

as far as MySQL, it probally froze and had to be restarted.

these things happen.

According to my host tracking service my site was down for less than 6mins

Operation restored at 2005-12-06 19:19:16.

JAG SLA reqiures 99.9% uptime

Based on a 30day month that is 432 Minutes of Downtime for the NETWORK, not the services like mysql BTW, that they are allotted anyway

6mins is nothing.
