can't see jpg's

Hello,

I just had a domain added on to an existing domain. The images, jpg's, are not showing. I had a rule in the .htaccess that would have explained the behaviour but I took the rule out and still can not see the image.

I can see the image is if do www.domain.com/subdomain/image/foo.jpg but not if is say www.subdomain.net/image/foo.jpg. The rule I had was to prevent non-local references to certain images but as I said, I took the rule out. Do I need to reboot something or something?
