FTP upload through the control panel

At work I am unable to use my smart ftp I normally use to upload my files from home. Is there an ftp upload on the control panel you can use besides through file manager. I hate uploading each file manually.

It is quite possible that your employer is blocking the standard porrts for FTP traffic. If this is the case, no FTP client you use will be able to connect to your site from your place of work.

The only upload option in CPanel is the one-file-at-a-time method that you mentioned. There is no other way to upload files through CPanel.

You may want to try uploading files through SCP (Secure Copy), which works similar to FTP, but everything you send is encrypted through a SSH (Secure Shell) connection for better security. There are several SCP clients around, but the one I recommend is WinSCP. Its free and works just like most FTP clients. Before you can use SCP to upload files to your site you'll need to open a support ticket and ask that SSH access be enabled for your account. There is no change and it is usually activated within minutes. Then install WinSCP and connect just as you do with FTP (you'll only be able to use your main login info, though, not an FTP account you've created yourself in CP). If you get stuck with the config, check out VinDSL's Tutorial.

    Good luck.

Blocking FTP but not SSH? Hmm.. sounds more likely to me that he's behind a company proxy, which prolly only proxies for port 80 (web).
