I don't have one, but some of my friends do. They claim these phones VERY fragile. If you make it more than a month and a half without breaking the hinge, you're lucky...

I have the LG vx8100 and am generaly happy with it, except 2 things: 1) there is a buzzing from the speakerphone and 2) at first I found it very difficult to find the right spot to hold it so that I could hear.

Other than that, it's a fine telephone.
I will be bringing it back to Verizon for repair/replacement as time warrants.

I picked up a Razr and thought it felt very chintzy, so I didn't consider it. Oh yeah, plus as I opened it, the hinge squeaked like an old door.

I liked the look of the Motorola(?) 9800 stick phone, flip it open there's a thumbboard. But I decided to get the flipping phone... I like a larger phone since my hands are so big.

I dont now if I can trust a Person that Uses Verizon

I swear my dad has had more problems with verizons Network in the 3 years he has been with them, gone through 4 phones and still can barely talk to anyone.

He is a Truck Driver and travles the interstates which is suppose to have the best coverage, notta........

He will be switching to Cingular when his contract is up.

    I've got it.

    It's a great phone overall.
Just even the basic stuff like signal and sound quality.
It was never worth the starting prices but makes much more sense to get it now.

You can hook the thing up to your laptop with MT and use it as a modem on the road. Pretty cool

I know someone that works at Cingular and has used the Razr phone for a few months. He said the same thing as Sponge basically about it being overall good phone. The audio and reception on the phone are really good. He said that if you want to use it for email or viewing html pages it's not the best option to go with however.

Every Motorola phone I have owned has had a software problem. I'd have that Razr broken in a week cause I'm always dropping phones. Yeah, that phone looks cool but dang, it's not built for actual use in a real world. I have the LG VX8100 from Verizon and I really love it.

Motorola frightens me. One of the firefighters in my Dad's station has a daughter that works for Verizon. She suggested to me that I never get a Motorola because they're not that great.

But eh, that's really your choice. That's all I know.

    Lot's of.. "well I heard"

I have the RZR and love it. I beat on phones pretty hard and this one is no different than any other I've had. Also keep in mind that much of the software is different between providers. For instance I have cingular and a friend with a RZR has verizon and the interface is pretty different. I prefer Cingular but that's me. But the $5 insurance and if it breaks then take it back.

I have noticed a common theme here, People with Verizon say the phone sucks, which is understandable since verizon sucks no mattter what phone you have.

I just recieved my Razr so I will let you guys know what I think about it on the Cingular network...

I have always had great luck with Motorola, I had one of the orginal "star trac" phone, infact I think I have it around here somewhere lol

Funny, everyone I talk to around here recommends Verizon over Cingular. I don't know if that has to do with the fact that Verizon up here is the old Bell Atlantic/NYNEX/MetroMobile, which was the largest provider in the New York/New England area pretty much since the first "car phones" came out.

I currently have Sprint and they suck. I sometimes have spotty service in my apartment which is in the middle of the city. Verizon is the only company that I know has any amount of service in most parts of the Adairondacks and they seem to have the strongest service in the Southern Tier, the rural area south of me where I spend a lot of time camping.

The Verizon network rocks around here... and anywhere else is jsut someplace else.

My brother is in the Springfield Mass area, and his Verizon coverage in his home is a bit spotty.. and he doesn't have access to the EVDO network.

Dem's my old stomping grounds. Where does your brother live? My family lives in Belchertown--pretty much the middle of nowhere--and they get very good coverage from Verizon.
