Hi,
I hadn't heard anything about it in the forums yet so just thougth I'd ask.
I liked being able to see the servers from my account manager.
When do you guys plan to get it working with the new client area?
Thanks,
This is a discussion on When will the new Server Status Checker be available? in the Open Discussion & Chit-chat forum

Nice. My site is down right now and I wanted to check the server status for Panther but couldn't, so I was just about to post a thread about this, until I found this.
Still ongoing development. We have a lot fo very neat features and ideas to bring into the monitoring that goes far beyond just server monitoring .
Im sure they arent all listed and theres a lot of new ones that arent listed yet but we will get them updated in a few days.

Sweet!
That is the single best feature you've added since I've been here!
Kudos!![]()
BTW: 'Cpanel' should be spelled cPanel...![]()

Nice. I was just about to ask where the DNS info was until i found this:

Just an idea...
Maybe the DNS servers should be added to the network status page, e.g. show their status too. That would be unique!
I've seen a lot of these monitoring programs before, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone monitor their name servers. Might be kind of interesting...![]()

Nice tool, Jag. Quick access, easy to assay, good polling times.
Thanks.
Would one of those perhaps entail being able to re-check a specific service on a specific server, for example by clicking on its indicator?Originally Posted by Jag

Our techs/admins can do live repolling but I dont think I will open that up to tens of thousands of others to do at will. Theres a lot more being added in terms of whats checked , how , and what all information we will be sending out in email, status script, and some other thigns Ive got in mind.

Ehm.. is it really that bad when a user repolls one specific thing at will, or am I mistaken in thinking that the old script always repolled every service on every server when loading? If it frightens you that much, perhaps build in a flood limit (like the forum has for quick posting)?
And while I'm commenting on this anyway: how about putting some JavaScript on those last checked counters that make them continue to count on my screen, as the check I am looking at ages. And / or put a refresh tag on the page that makes it auto-reload every few minutes while open.

While I'm never pleased to see a server down I am at least glad you got a chance to see the colors change.![]()
