    IE7 Beta 2

Yeah, even though half of you use FireFox, this is still worth looking at. I downloaded it this morning, and haven't had a chance to look at it yet. They've definatly polished the interface up since the last Beta I messed with.

You have to have a Geniune Windows install for it to work, BTW.

Check this site for info about getting IE7 betas to run without overwriting your current install: http://weblogs.asp.net/jgalloway/arc...28/434132.aspx

    (I haven't tried it out...yet...)

I think I'll wait then LOL or try it on some scrap machine I have. I can't be mucking around with my "production" PC... I could lose 3 days of work trying to back out IE if it didn't work, and I MUST be able to see what 85% of my visitors see (using IE6).

Just my thoughts on the issue.

    Run a Microsoft Beta? Hahahahaha!

Oh wait. I sometimes run XP... so I guess I already do. Nevermind.

OK. So I won't run IE in beta. Come to think about it, I probably won't run it at all except to test code for compatibility.

    matt, quit wasting our time.

Ummm, to get rid of the Beta, you just uninstall it and your IE6 is back--at least, that's how the first Beta was. I still haven't been able to go home yet today and play with it.

So, in reading the checklists I am to assume that there are gonna be more CSS rendering issues, more things are gonna be blocked and more flashing lights telling you that something bad is happening.....................but there will be tabbed browsing..........................Brilli ant!!!!!

Sorry for trying to be nice and letting you guys know about the new stuff from the people who supply most of the operating systems in use. Next time I'll just keep it to myself.

Holy crap you people complain a lot.

    matt,

maybe it has to do that jaguarpc offers linux hosting, it attracks also people who are more into firefox things and stuff

Anyways, i would not dare to install a microsoft beta on my system, for me their stables are as good as any other programs beta release.

But true, as most of our clients are using IE, we got to look into it.. if we want it or not.

    Kind regards,
    Patrick

    Matt,

First of all, I don't think anyone was complaining about you, so get over it!! You posted about a product and we are simply commenting on the manufacturer and the product.

Secondly, I think most of us are just sick and tired of hearing about M$ new and improved products that turn out not to be either of the two.
