    Great post. Thanks Ergophobe.
Heh! Dude, you got everyone sucking up to you!

I gotta start playing the handicap card more...

    Um... never mind!
Adj. 1. tritanopic - inability to see the color blue or to distinguish the colors blue and yellow
That's bullsh!t -- I can see blue and yellow just fine! Must have been a bad pic on Answer.com...

    You sure you're color-blind, ergophobe?

    Okay, I figured it out!

It's this friggin' LCD monitor! Everyone is in a brightness race now. Once I turned down the gamma setting, I can see the numbers on Answer.com just fine.

Maybe that's what you need to do, ergophobe! As a matter of fact, maybe that's what your whole problem is. Maybe your monitor settings are all jacked up!

Thinking about it a little more... are you running a color monitor or monochrome? If you got goofed up vision, maybe you should get a special handicapped monitor, or something, rather than running around scarring ppl -- making them think they're blind -- threatening to file a lawsuit -- or whatever...

I, for one, don't appreciate it! I got hemmoroids the size of grapes from racing motorcycles. Wanna hear about them?

On second thought, my Honda is red -- you probably wouldn't be interested!

While it's not really funny to "make light" of differences between our fellow peoples this really made me, as the kiddies say, "LOL". Thanks Vin, I needed that.

I talk to myself too, just usually not in a forum. Vin how do you equate being color blind with not being able to see?

I have a good friend who is a webmaster that is legally blind (whatever that means). For several years she was a web designer. Now she just concentrates on her directory http://www.websavvy.cc/.

Gawd, Connie! Do I have to spell everything out for you ppl?

Here's a guy who's web site advocates, and is dedicated to, the benefits and attributes of slothfulness. However, looking around the web, he has spent plenty of time and effort bending ppl to his will, making them feel guilty for not allowing reasonable accomodations for his genetic defects.

If that isn't 'blindness', I don't know what is... both on his part and yours...

The most important thing to remember when meeting a blind or visually impaired person is that they are people just like you.... The best thing you can do to help a blind person have fun is to relax and have fun yourself...

Can you see better in darkenss (where there is just a bit light) then in day light? Sorry for being ingnorant but I really dont know how that "works" as I have 100% color vision (even though my vision isnt the best haha). Would be interesting to hear from someone whos got 0% color vision.

Sorry for bumping this back up, but Alex, I have 0% color vision and yes, I do see better in the dark. That's because the photoreceptors for black&white (rod cells) are also the photoreceptors responsible for "night vision." This is the reason why people with achromatopsia are very light sensitive (because we are using "night vision" 100% of the time).

Again, sorry for bumping this after like 2 weeks, but I don't check in often and I had an answer to his question
