It doesn't seem like anyone fully understood Snow's concern. I have a client wondering the same thing. Let me spell it out....

Here are different ways to get to google.com

    GooGle.com
    GOOGLE.com
    google.com
    Google.com
    gooGLE.com

Whatever you type in your address bar, it doesn't matter. You'll get to www.google.com. HOWEVER, what if you wanted the end result to always be...

...no matter what you typed in above? That was Snow's question. So would this be along the lines of an .htaccess rewrite or something?

I am also wondering if there is a way to force the browser to display the "branded url" if you will in the address bar.

Looks to me like everyone understood just fine but some just don't want to hear the answer. So, to summarize that:

    No, it can't be done.

Perhaps, if you have VPS or dedicated, you can fiddle with settings long enough to make it work for a specific browser, but you'll almost certainly have side effects way too big to make it worth it, such as other browsers and search engine spiders getting stuck in a loop of redirections.

I used to have code to do a very similar thing with ASCII codes in urls. To avoid endless loops, the code only redirected an IP once in a ten second span. I figured that browsers and bots would retry more quickly than 10 seconds. I was right and wrong.

It solved most problems. Eventually I gave in and let them access the site with ASCII codes in the URL on the first try. Since I gave in there are more links to me out there with ASCII codes in them. Oh well I guess.
    Good luck

    Interesting!

There are 259 people with the last name "Calimlim" in the United States.

Mostly from the Philippines, I would guess...

Is that a "branded name" ?

What difference does it make how people access your site? To me the important thing is that Capitalization is not critical when it comes to domain names.

LOL I came across this old, old post in Google.

I'll tell you why it might be kinda important for some domain names:

    iLoveTofu.com

If not capitalized it could lead to confusion LOL

    EDIT:

    Actually it would be 256 and 512, it's 2^^8 not 8^^2
