Cool! A telnet quiz...

What is 6 times 9?
Cool! A math quiz...
Er... 42?

How many pieces of string does it take to reach the moon?
Hint: !=42
Probably.
6 x 9 = 42(base13)
What is 42?

No, no no, I was asking... "what is 42?" (I was continuing with the quiz format...)

But seriously.. From the application's viewpoint, TCP transfers a contiguous stream of bytes. TCP does this by grouping the bytes in TCP segments, which are passed to IP for transmission to the destination. TCP itself decides how to segment the data and it may forward the data at its own convenience.
So ... what is the minimum ? My lousy guess would be 1 ?
But then i am not a network engineer, and my logic is not always the logic others use :P :P![]()
Kindest regards,
