Talking I Gotta Nother Silly But Good Question

I'm helping out someone set up (transfer) her Netscape email account (not mail or address book) onto Outlook.

We've tried the "importing" fuction on outlook but when it comes to choosing the email client to import - the window is empty so we can not choose the email client... I don't know which version (nor I know if it matters) of Netscape / Outlook she has.

So how do we import or set up the Netscape email " account " on Outlook express?

    What shall we do?

    Thanks

Sorry, I just awoke, so I'm not too 'with it' yet. However, I've never heard of importing an 'account' into Outlook Express. What you need to do is 'create' an account for her, no?

That would be... Tools -> Accounts -> Add -> Mail

Don't be too concerned about answering the 'wizard' questions correctly. Just use the defaults it comes up with, then go back and configure the account correctly once it's created.

    *edit*

Just went to Jaded's link. It said...
...we recommend changing them to use port 587.This is the default port for Netscape authenticated email. You may need to contact your email provider for information on connection to their email server via port 587.
    And...
The Netscape email service requires outbound mail server authentication for all email software.
So be sure to do that!
