Ron these guys/or gals have read some marketing gurus book that tells them they can make money posting their Spam in forums. It will take them a little while to realize it doesn't work.

They probably paid about $30.00 for the book so believe me they will try it.

After all that so called marketing expert told them it would work.

I get referrals from my posts in here, and that requires people to click on my username and then click on my homepage link.

They also show up as backlinks to my site in Google, along with the pseudonyms like aletiaforums.com (of course those are all supplemental now that JAG has let the domain name lapse. Maybe I should snag it.

Backlinks show up from here TO www.aletiaforums.com (how long before this one shows up?) too! If they're showing up as backlinks, there must be some good rank to them. Used to be Google only showed PR3+ backlinks, but I'm sure that's changed now.

Now that we've made this thread interesting with lots of nice keywords, their spamming is successful! In addition, others will look for this username in Google and will follow suit, generating more and more spam.

I've been through this thought process here before.
