The “Anyone But Cynthia Movement” appears to have come out on top, but embattled U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney isn’t going down without a fight...

But McKinney, who’s been in Congress for more than 10 years, questioned the validity of votes, suggesting through postings on her campaign website that some voting irregularities had taken place...

Voters were told that the polls were closed to due to non-working air conditioners...

McKinney supporters were harassed by police...

    Blah, blah, blah...
Bwahahahaha! Good bye & good luck, black cat! The ppl have spoken!!!

And let's not forget the Yid!

Source: In a major upset, veteran Senator Joseph Lieberman was... defeated.

Lieberman was defeated by fellow Democrat and political novice Ned Lamont - a man most Connecticut voters had never heard of until just a few months ago...

Joseph Lieberman was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1988 and has long been a leading moderate in the Democratic Party.
Have the sheeple finally come to their senses [doubtful]?

Or, do bloggers rule the day now [likely]???

“Even during the days of slavery, the slave master always had his puppet,” Brooks said, accusing Johnson of willingly receiving support from GOP loyalists intent on unseating McKinney.
I'm so tired of this line of commentary... lots of groups have similar tripe, and it's all boring, overused, blah blah blah.

As to your comment about sheeple vs. bloggers, Vin, it's really hard to say. Are the bloggers part of the sheeple, or do we consider people who take the time to write out an opinion to be thoughtful, insightful, and balanced? Hardly the latter. People still don't want to bother forming an independent, well-reasoned, and personal point of view... they want to be part of the herd.

The effect of that is the blogging community now seems like a much closer herd, easier to follow. It is very interesting to see the influence of 'everyday people' on other 'everyday people'. Ever read Ender's Game, by O.S. Card? Interesting political commentary about influencing global politics by planting a few seeds here and there, including complete arguments that are meant to do the thinking for the people, to avoid the burden of consideration.
