    Lease-to-own interest you ?

If we started offering servers with a good colo rates as shown on this unlinked page, http://www.jaguarpc.com/services/colo/, and lease-to-own options how many would be interested?

    for example:
    AMD Opteron 2210 (dual core)
    Tyan dual socket 1207 motherboard
2x 160g sata Raid edition WD drives
    1gig ecc registered 533mhz DDR2 ram
    Super micro case
    $1425.00

    lease-to-own option w/10% finance charge
12 months of $130/mo plus colo.
After 12 months, just pay colo.
We cover hardware for 1yr while under lease, beyond that its your hardware and naturally yours to cover.

Yes, the idea interests me, but I've always been a colo kinda guy, even before Al Gore invented the Internet. My ISP was always trying to get me to colo my Wildcat! BBS server to their noc, for instance, so I didn't tie up their modem racks...

Anyway, I think the key to success is to convince prospective clients that these 'pulls' are the same ones that you've threatened to take out back and shoot, in the forums, you know?

Maybe some bling-bling would help, like pics of the actual servers that they will be adopting -- maybe a web cam so they could see their server in action when they get separation anxiety in the middle of the night, or something...

If I was in the market for upgrading what I currently have a lease to own would def be tempting to say it mildly.

I found that colo page to be extreeeemely confusing. Can you put together a sample from the menu of what would be needed, say one for a minimum configuration and one for a mega config, with prices and totals.

What about reboots, maintenance and upgrades to the servers? Do you supply those services, or would I have to contract with someone else to travel to your datacenter to replace a disk for me?

Again, not that I'm in the market.
