    Yep! No problem!

I'm using it on Firefox Portable 1.5.0.7 with TrueCrypt 4.2a encryption.

If you transfer over 2GB a day, Google will supposedly suspend your mail account for 24 hours.

Is that what you're asking about?

    On it!

And naturally I just bought a 20G firefly drive... On the other hand, it looks like those dozen or so gmail accounts will finally come in handy!

Pretty damn slick. But since I respect authority I am an IE user so this doesn't do anything for me.

What does using Firefox have to do with respecting authority?

Heard of Maxthon? It makes IE worth using!

I don't know what I'd need it for either, but my inner geek says "kewl!".

Also noticed this: "Creating a new user account is highly recommended because that won't affect your regular account."

Hmm, a new gmail account just to use something I don't need. I think I'll do it! (It'll be interesting if the new account gets spam somehow.)
Those who know all the answers haven't heard all the questions.

How can people look at the space shuttle and say "Design!" yet look at its designers and say "Accident!"?

What are the security implications of the use of this plugin? I'm not talking about external access by those who don't "own" the account, but rather Gmail/Google's backend access to the stored data. Are they (Google and search engines) archiving the data internally? Are they parsing the files and reading the contents for their borg?

This sets a few alarm bells in my mind. If storage of archived data like large software ISO files or 3rd party binaries is the goal, then fine. Store away. But I sure wouldn't place anything important there.

Ya you big geek, what 96% geek? I only scored 56. I can see a use for it. I can use it to have a fast way for workers at the office to send me large files while I work at home. I did open a new account just for it.

One thing, make sure you are not forwarding your email it will send the file to your forwarded address.

Weird thing is, when I uploaded a file, it sent an email to my existing gmail account.

I had created the new account using IE on a PC, so I wouldn't have to log out of my main gmail account. But I used Firefox on my mac to install and open the plugin, and as soon as I uploaded a file, my main gmail got the message. I don't have anything forwarding to or from the new one.

EDIT: I see it has me logged in as my main account, even though I logged in with the new one. Hmmm...
