    Addon Domains

Hint: will not be functional unless the domain name is registered with a valid registrar and configured to point to our DNS servers. You also need to point the domain to our name servers and wait for 24 hours before adding the new domain. The name servers are typically the same as used by your main domain.
This is really unacceptable, you should be able to create the domain straight away to allow for a seamless changeover, with the current system you need to babysit the process... some propogations take 1 hour, others can take 48 hours... what a hassle...

that is not of JPC control

that is how the internet works, Some ISP are known to update their zone files only 1once a week

Though that kind of crap is rare,

Plus that is refering to Cpanels check, you can have Jag manually added the domain name. the Internal Multi-hosting functions verifies the domain name uses a nameserver controled by the server your one

IMO a better way it is check if the domain resolves to that server as well, because some of my names I manage the DNS off JPC's network so I can forward subdomains to other servers I use.
but that is a whole other issuse

This is nothing JPC can control or fix

If you are moving a domain from another host, just open a ticket and ask support to set up the multihosting for you. The cPanel interface is intensionally restrictive to prevent abuse and works best for new domains. Supprt will happily set them up manually upon request if you are moving an existing site and don't want downtime.

We're talking two different things here...

Addon (multi-hosted) domains are localized settings. They ARE 'straight away' and instant.

DNS changes propagate, i.e. spread through the web. There's no way to expedite this process!

Any resemblance between these views and my own are non-deterministic. The existence of Vin DSL is questionable. The existence of views in the absence of anyone to hold them is problematic. The existence of the reader is left as an exercise in the second-order coefficient.

Well support contacted and I got the response I have been getting used to around here...

Basically: "your wish is our command, please ask us if you need anything else"... ya gotta love it

I just want to add - I like how JP is willing to compromise, many hosts won't... I understand it is a hassle, but for new customers I think this is important becuase most issues are "one timers" and once the new hosting account is broken in support requests are few and far between (for me anyway)...
