That is when a Program loses focus and tries to be everything to everyone,

    or

When a program using more resources than it should

    BOTH are true for Cpanel

I like cpanel a lot, I havent used interworx nor DA but I think plesk isnt quite their yet it just doesnt have the features like cpanel does, JAG will you be providing shared and reseller plans on other than cpanel, I think many people would give it a try, I dont see many hosting companies offering shared hosting with the cpanel alternatives. Or would you consider developing an in-house cp based on an open source cp?

its the little things in cpanel that matter like the redirect feature, the hotlink protection, ip deny, script library and fantastico support, and really the whole layout, it has so many features that others do not, and whm is the best, I also find that cpanel includes more features and doesnt urge you to buy all the exras, there isnt much point having plesk without the powerpack its like buying half a piece of software, over the past month I have found it very difficult without cpanel, it shows how good it is.

    Ohh, your one of those

I think Fantastico is a waste of time and resources, the scripts are often outdated and need of security patches, which created major security concerns for the server it is one and ALL the users attached to it. Most of the other things you talked about are avaible in Interworx. Plus interworx is comming out with, or maybe already has there own verson of "notta-fanstico" called "script-worx" which will even give you the ablity to use any script and offer it as a autoinstall, provided you have the redist rights ofcourse.
