    By the way, how does it know what a tracking link looks like as opposed to a ?sid=2342342 or a ?location=dfjslfkj or whatever?
    Cause it be smart!

    Through a complex use of regular expressions via a filter it does a very good job of it. 99% work fine for me.

    He is an example of one such filter.

    Code:
    Name = "Convert: Tracking Links to Normal Links {8.d}]"
    Active = TRUE
    Multi = TRUE
    URL = "($TYPE(htm)|$TYPE(js))(^$TST(keyword=*.(redirect|code).*))"
    Bounds = "<a\s[^>]++href=*(</a >|>(^(^ <(a\s|(/|)td|(/|)center))))"
    Limit = 2048
    Match = "<a*\shref=((\\")\0\9$TST(\0)|$AV(\9))(\3)"
            ""
            "&$TST(\9="
            "(^(javascript|ed2k):|*\+)*"
            "&("
            "????????(*[^a-z0-9.]&&(^*(host|done|refer(er|)))*)"
            "("
            "((http|ftp)(s|)://)\4(^\")"
            "|(url|yargs)==+(^/|'|\&)"
            "("
            "(^(^'\+))"
            "|(^(http|ftp)(s|):)$SET(4=http://)"
            ")"
            "|(^(^www.))$SET(4=http://)"
            ")"
            ")+{1,*}(*\?[^*]+|([^*&+]+))\1"
            ")"
            ""
            "&<a("
            " id=(\\"|"|)\0PrxFl[^ ]+$SET(#=-Tracking)\8(\&nbsp;Link*\shref=)\2"
            "|"
            "(*\shref=)\2((\\|)('$SET(7=")|("|)$SET(7=')))\0"
            "$SET(8="
            " onmouseover=\0PrxFlShow("
            "PrxFlLink(\6\7PrxF\6\7,\6\7Tracking&nbsp;Link\6\7,\6\7$ESC(\9)\6\7),event,1)\0"
            " onMouseout=\0PrxFlDelayHide()\0"
            ")"
            "($TST(script=*)$SET(6=)|)"
            ")"
    Replace = "<a id=\0PrxFlPref\0\8\@\2\0\4\1\0\3"

    Yep! I think everyone here knows about Proxomitron, but it never hurts to bring it up every year or so, for good measure...

    I could stare at that list of conditions for an hour and not decipher most of it.

    Is there an explanation in english of what each is looking for? (I'm not asking you to translate it, just if there is already a transaltion)

    One sentence...

    It's client-side proxy software for web browsers, that allows users to manipulate the content of web pages using RegEx -- the same way webmasters manipulate the content of web pages using RegEx on the server-side.
