WD Passport Drive && MoJo software virtualization

Well I am looking in to Getting the Western Digital Passport Portable Drive and MoJoPac Software so I can install and Take with my my Development Software from my Company Supplied Laptop, and my Desk Top PC when I go on the road.

Anyone Have any Experience with this Hard Drive? Or Recommend a different one around the same price point? I can get the 60GB drive for $70.

Anyone ever work with MoJo? there seems to be some heat around this software in the Blog-o-sphere. Any other Alternatives that will allow me to install my own programs, I dont like U3, Creedo, or the similar.

    Hi the_ancient,
I would definitely recommend WD Passport Drives and that is quite a reasonable price as well. As for installing the programs on the Drive you could simply install a copy of everything on the Passport including Windows and when you go away simply boot from the Passport

Actually I thought about that as well.

The only think I dont like about that, is if I needed to switch back to the Host PC, to use My Employer Proprietary Software, I would would a have to Reboot the laptop, with MoJo I just click a button....

But I am not Ruling that out at all, but MoJo seems like a neat app so I am going to try it....

    Bah! Forget all that junk...

If you want security, use TrueCrypt!

    Oh, BTW, use Blowfish...

I dont have any problem's, Infact it has been a fairly good day.

TrueCrypt is a Encryption program, I need a Separate Windows installation, or a Software Virtualizer because I cant (do to company policies) install some of the Software I need on the road, on to my Company Supplied Laptop, and I am not lugging 2 Laptops around the airport

well I got the Drive from Newegg today, and WOW is it small..... Easly fits in the Palm of my hand, and it is LIGHT as hell......

So far I am impressed with the MoJoPac software,

The only snag is I discovered my Company laptop is only usb 1 so my speed is greatly reduced, I am probably have to buy a usb 2 PCMCIA card

wish i had waited for my usb drive in that case. Last month I bought one sorta on a whim. Its not as small as yours, cost me $40 more, but is a little large in storage space and has some kickass backup software.
