I absolutely love the Tab Mix Plus plugin
    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/

Of course, you have to have the WebDeveloper Toolbar

    Best. Plugin. Ever.

Practically good enough to be its own application and not languish around in the mere "plug-in" class.

Hey, Nick, sounds like you're new to Phoenix/Firebird/Firefox. I've been using it since Day-1. What took you so long, bro?

OMG! The battles I used to go through, convincing ppl to even try it?!?!? They thought I was crazy...

Anyway, do yourself a favor and disable the 'suspected forgery' thingie, in the Security tab, in Options. It sucks, literally!

Instead, run an add-on called, PhishTank SiteChecker. It rocks!

All you guys should be running PhishTank...

You know, I was just thinking (pissing a cup o' blackmagic actually)...

My LAN crashed a week ago, tomorrow. During reconstruction, I've been running off this proxy server. I installed Fx 2.0.0.1 on it, 'cause MSIE 5.0 just wasn't happening!

Anyway, this box is resource-challenged, so I only installed what I needed.

What add-ons did I install? PhishTank ('cause this machine wasn't designed for web surfing) and Adblock Plus.

That's it! Just those two plugins and all is good!

Just insert an IPCop firewall with the Copfilter suite and your PC's won't even need that.

    LoL!

If you're 'talking' to me, you don't understand! This is a proxy server...

Basically, it's a dial-up router that sits in my DMZ, for if/when my DSL service goes down -- e.g. a dumb terminal. I just reconfig'ed it so I could get online for a few days. I'm not putting anything on it that I don't need.

If you think I'm BS'ing ya...

    Code:
    Microsoft Windows 98 4.10.2222 A
Upgrade using Full OEM CD /SrcDir=D:\WIN98 /IQ /U:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    IE 5 5.00.2614.3500
    Uptime: 0:22:44:49
    Normal mode
    On "PROTON" as "Gatekeeper"

    CyrixInstead Cyrix M II(tm)
    64MB RAM
    14% system resources free
Windows-managed swap file on drive C (3645MB free)
    Available space on drive C: 3645MB of 4110MB (FAT32)

Does it have a "Keymaster"? I'm a bit concerned about marshmallows at the moment.

OMG!!! I cannot believe someone finally got that!!!

Yes, "Keymaster" is my main machine -- the monster that just crashed -- been using those names since well into the last century, and you're the first one that ever got it without prompting. Seriously!

    Kudos!!!

    BTW, that subnet is Drek...

    Back on topic... sort of...

I'm a week into my (LAN) reconstruction period. At this point, I don't give a !@#$ 'cause at least I'm off the proxy server, and running off a USB stick.

Let's try something. Here's the VinDSL Mobile version...

    Fx-plugins.png

OMG!!! Took me 3 tries to find it.

    This sucks!!!

I know you're new to Fx, so let me clue you into the way it is...

When Mozilla, et al, says something is for developers, that's what they mean. Betas ARE betas, and Alphas ARE alphas. So, when you're using branch builds, and so forth, you ARE asking for trouble, by design.

Personally, I PLAY around with Fx & Seamonkey nightlies, but I don't depend on them to work. That's the whole idea, you know? They don't work, and they expect developers to make them work.

Put another way, if something doesn't work in Fx 3 "Minefield", it's up to YOU to rewrite the code, and submit it for inclusion. If you're good enough at doing this sort of stuff, they might even invite you to join 'the team', but don't hold your breath... these guys are geniuses!

The latest stable version is Fx 2.0.0.1, and it's working great for me! Use it for your default browser and all will be good.
