Two questions about this. Is there any way to opt out of this "upgrade?" It's been my experience with having other accounts here and with other users that newer servers have bugs to work out in the beginning. Moving off of good 'ol reliable Falcon isn't an appealing thought.Maintenance Notice
============================
Dear [ME],
We are contacting you to inform you about some upcoming scheduled maintenance.
We at JaguarPC are working hard to increase the level of performance for our clients and their webhosting services. We are upgrading the hardware on which at least one of our servers were your shared hosting account resides. Also, we are moving your account to our new, faster, better performing network. Obviously, this is a two fold approach to better performance for your shared hosting account. As with all technology, since your account was placed on its current server newer and faster hard disks and CPU's have become available and the input/output (IO) speeds can be improved greatly with the new hardware we have ready for you. This means your data gets out to your visitors faster. Also we, along with customers already on the new network, have noted significantly higher network/traffic response times compared to the older network.
There is one caveat with the move to the new network as we will not be able to move your IP addresses along with the shared hosting account. You will be assigned new IP addresses once the move is complete. We can assist with this with IP address forwarding for http traffic and SMTP (port 80 & 25) to mitigate DNS propagation lag.
We will handle the migration of your user data so you should not have to do anything on your end.
Of course we encourage you to maintain local backups of your websites at all times. After the migration if you note any problems with your site we want you to update us immediately to ensure we are aware so our technicians can address problems. The URL to submit trouble tickets is located here (https://secure.jaguarpc.com/clients).
We understand the IP change is troublesome and we look forward to helping you out in making the move as painless as possible. We will also inform you the scheduled time for the move before the ip change. Please remember we are doing this for the overall betterment of services and the improved performance of your shared hosting account.
Your new shared server hostname will be geonosis.nocdirect.com.

I have a unique IP, so does this IP change affect me? And, if so, will I still have a unique IP, just a different one?

Stability trumps performance unless the performance is an order of magnitude better. I doubt, but I'm hopeful, that's the case.
I really don't like change.
