    SSL Certificates

It appears that DEHE has gotten a little creedy on their Certificates. In the past, the certificates were $29 or less. You even got ONE free certificate per year for each dedicated server.

All this seems to have changed and now they want $59 for a cert. This almost double what it use to be.

Does anyone have any current information other providers like Geotrust and how well they are working? I want to make sure that you do not have to install a new root on your workstation for them.

    Thanks in Advance!

Not a DEHE customer so I have no idea about the price increase.

As a JagPC customer who buys SSL certificates through Jag, I can tell you the cost has been over $45.00 for at least a couple of years. I have bought direct from Comodo but Jags prices have been comparable, and there is a lot less hassle when buying through JagPC.

I don't know what DEHE was offering, so I can't comment on it.

Geotrust certificates work in all of the main browsers without any problems. I use a RapidSSL cert on my site (which is Geotrust's entry level cert http://www.rapidssl.com) and I've never seen a problem with any browser.

Thanks Jason! It was a shock to request one and find out the price jumped from 29 to 59 dollars. That is $30 more then 200% increase in price.
