Ask the person who runs the site if they're a veteran?

    Um...

    Can you define veteran, please?

If you are a human and you mean military veteran, then you'll be happy to know that the president of JPC is, in fact, at vet. Air Force, IIRC.

One can be former military, but not generally considered to be a veteran....

Growing up I always understood the term to mean at least having served during conflict, if not actually seen combat. I wonder if the term is shortened from "combat veteran". There was another classification I heard which was "Peacetime service", or some such.

I think the advent of the all volunteer force causes enlistees to feel they are entitled to all "veteran" benefits and the title of "Veteran" as well.

I don't know if that's a good idea or not, but they certainly have MY eternal gratitude. So if you're reading this and are former military of any type... thank you.

Me and Les both served together in the Air force, as did my wife. We went from protecting your country and way of life to protecting your sites, files, and ....um way of life? lol

    Absolutely!

I thought you'd appreciate the pun, but indeed I wasn't sure many would get it, so thanks for the subtitles:
In addition to Artificial Intelligence, in the US Naval service instead of "Yes sir!" as the response to a command, the reply is "Aye Aye"
Allow me to subtitle the first part too, for those that still feel left out: Cogito ergo sum means I think, therefore I am. A definition by which an AI could claim humanity.

A veteran is simply an individual who honorably served his nation as a member if the armed forces, whether in peace or war. I will only spend my money with those who understand the special bond of those who have spent duty away from loved ones sacrificing for their country.

I am pleased to see that there are veterans in this firm.

I served in the Army from 97-05. I've been to Korea, Baghdad, and Texas (yes its a whole 'nother countrah ^_^ ). I don't resell hosting to the public yet but I do have a domain purchasing storefront! www.optixaldomains.com, www.optixalresellers.com

Shoot me an email, if you're a veteran I will sell at cost. And since godaddy already sells at a loss its really cheap!

Once Jag gets the affiliate program up and going I'll give it a go =)

    PS: Great idea Greg!

EDIT: I can give you an account on my VPS on the cheap so you can experience the great service here. Then you could move up to a full reseller account @ Jpc!

Email me if you're interested! =)
