    "MANAGED dedicated servers"

While we're on the truth in advertising theme, can the page entitled "MANAGED dedicated servers" (your caps, not mine) actually show pricing for managed dedicated servers? Only on the Add-Ons page do we learn server management is available, but costs extra.

So it doesn't bother you in the slightest that the page advertises something that isn't even available on the page? I'm sure your SEO agent would encourage you to mention Viagra and ringtones on that page a few times, if that's all that matters.

I personally don't see a problem with it. We do offer Managed Dedicated servers and thats the page with the price for the servers. We could merge the two pages, servers & managed services, I suppose but not everyoine wants managed services.

No, that's the page with the prices for unmanaged servers. Yet no where does it say that. The page is titled "Managed Dedicated Servers" and then the only configurations and prices shown are for unmanaged, with no mention that they are unmanaged. There's even a link at the bottom of every site page for "Managed Dedicated Servers" that takes you directly to the unmanaged server price list.

You don't think there's even the slightest chance someone might erroniously think the prices quoted on the Managed Dedicated Servers page are actually for managed dedicated servers?

That is a good point, and it did used to have a line about adding on managed service to the packages. I dont know who or when that got removed but its an obvious oversight though.

Thank you. I don't want to be seen as beating up on you guys, but I honestly did think this was an important point.

I've wondered about it before, but frankly, even a box purchased without additional management services are still managed.

The hardware is managed. Physical reboots are managed (I think?). It is just the lowest level of management. Unlike colocation, which would be unmanaged hardware.

Both also have the network is managed and the facilities are managed.

Now I feel like President Clinton.
    Good luck

Is this agent responsible for you changing the title on your forum?

Your high ranking has more to do with other things than that.

Also, if you want to further increase the popularity of these fora, would you PLEASE increase the allowable number of concurrent visitors? I am frequently getting locked out with the "Server too busy" message.
    Good luck

I've been getting that too, Chief, the last few days.

I figured it was network related -- actually thought you might be under DDOS, it lasted so long yesterday...

I was aware of this yesterday and have been working on it. Have you guys seen the error as much or at all today? I think I have it under control now.

It has been happening a lot over the last few days, and it seems it happened when there were about 150 users on and no, not today.
    Good luck

I've seen it a lot over the last couple of months, off and on. Usually a single refresh and I'm good to go again, at least for a few page loads. I haven't seen it today yet, but then I don't see it every day anyway.
