Lightbulb Vins Personal Ultimate Hack - Gone Wild?

    Okay, here's the deal...

I've been hacking GPL code for years with good results. My latest contribution:

Lightbox v2.0: Resize images so that they are not bigger then the current window

Actually, I'm thinking about forking Lightbox2 and making 'VDbox JS' or whatever. I digress...

More to the point, I've been hacking away at underarm deodrant lately (yes, you read that right) and I'm thinking about marketing it on my web site - VinSport or such.

For the most part, it's a mixture of...

    This: http://www.amazon.com/Degree-Antiper.../dp/B000FKHOE0

    and...

    This: http://www.amazon.com/Brut-Original-.../dp/B000GCJTWC

    ...with a few additional tweaks.

It has a truly original 'personal scent', lasts a LONG time, is gentle on the epidermal occlusions under your arms, blah, blah, blah.

The thing is, the ingredients I'm using aren't under GPL...

Then again, I'm buying these ingredients, not licensing them from anybody...

Soooooo, if I wanted to market this item, do you think I'd end up sharing a jail cell with OJ - where this 'hack' might come in handy - or should I just keep it to myself?

Ummm good question. Can you resell a stick of deodorant purchased? I'd assume so. Can you resell derivative works based on it? I dunno!

I'd sell it, not tell anyone what is in it, make your fortune and not sweat it.

But I'm not a stinkin' lawyer.
    Good luck

In some jurisdictions it would seem not.

No prob! You can't keep a good man down...

I returned some products to a local Walgreens tonight... told them I didn't need them, 'cause many of them contained aluminum zirconium octachlorohydrex (or aluminum tetrachlorohydrex gl) - how I was planning to market my own deodorant - and ppl have a thing against aluminum chlorhydrate derivatives...

Then, they asked why they were so cold. I told them I carry these items in a Igloo with ice packs so they don't deteriorate, same as transporting a heart for transplant surgery.

Hahahaha! That hooked 'em... along with the occulsion discussion about the creases in their bodies...

Man, that was fun, and it only cost me 28-cents...

Anyway, I've already gotten requests for samples, soooo my next problem is going to be finding a source of suitable applicator tubes. Sample size and ovals would be perfect...

Guess I'm going to have to Google that one!

BTW, I'm not without my detractors...

One guy said this reminded him of an old Seinfield skit (Googled that too):

    http://www.tvacres.com/perfumes_beach.htm

Personally, I don't watch sitcoms about New York Jews (I don't find them funny, Woody Allen aside) but it does sound similar, I *guess*...
