    New guy on the block

After 5 years with a host on a shared hosting plan with little or no trouble the last two weeks have turned into a nightmare, became a little tired of talking to "tech support" that amounted to someone sitting in front of knowledge base feeding me canned answers instead of solutions. One good thing is it gave me the kick I needed to get out of shared hosting land and into the real world, kinda like switching from AOL to broadband.

So here I am waiting for my login info. JaguarPC is only my second host and hopefully will be my last. One thing I found impressive was the forum. If a company will allow people to air "dirty laundry" on their home turf I think that says something. I've also found the knowledge here offered by the users impressive and it appears I'll be spending quite a bit of time reading in this forum, server administrator is not a title I can place on myself... yet. Anyhow there's a lot to devour in these pages so I'll leave it at that for now and get to reading.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.

My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.

Thanks for the warm welcome, was a little concerned at first with this move but after looking around in the control panel for few seconds I was able to get my site accessible in a few minutes. So far so good and it doesn't appear to be all that complicated.

Guess i might as well tell a little about myself, first my nickname is the real deal..or was. I delivered coal to homes and business's for 15 years. Since 2000 I solely owned and operated the business which was a family business established in 1926. Trouble is it was lot of work with not a lot of benefit at least not IMO. Others would disagree. Computers are my true passion and have been ever since getting a Commodore 64 many moons ago, my first program simulated a strobe light. I'm sure it wasn't very good for the TV but my friends loved it... lol

I built my first first website for my coal business and have progressed into building a few others. I also do video work which is probably my strongest point. Analog to digital conversion/restoration in particular.

So here I am with new VPS plan and all the options in the world, I'll migrate my clients to my new server in time but more important l I can now do some of the things I've wanted to for a few years now because the tools are available.

Enough about me back to work.
