HUGE 65 inch DLP rear Projection TV for about $1,500! wow

Hey guys (and gals, but mostly guys)

Did you see this big honking TV on Amazon.com ?

The price was $2,500 then $2100 then Best Buy put it in their Black Friday circular as a two day sale at $1499. Then Amazon put it up for $1723 with free shipping and then added a free stand ($400 value!?!) Now they have lowered the price again to $1524 with free shipping but dropped the stand.

Now it's $1524 which is less than Best Buy (with free delivery (well, shipping) and no sales tax!)

    I am sooo tempted...

I don't know about the service plan... it allows for the replacement of the lamp (about $250) ONCE during the lifetime of the plan, but it costs about $400. If the bulb goes out (likely in 4 years if you watch 8 hours/day) once, then the plan almost paid for itself.
    Good luck

Hey wait a sec... the deal changed back to 1723 with a free stand.

I'm confused, but it's a great deal either way.
    Good luck

A little more than I used to. I have no cable or satellite or anything, so I'm watching snow when I do. So this purchase would mean I would have to upgrade my FiOS service for another $50 a month, too.

Then I'd be stuck in front of the set all day. But I've been really bored lately, better a nice big clear picture than snow in July.

Better than that techno fusion trance psycho whatever junk on a Klipsch.
    Good luck

    Television sucks!

All this electronic crap is made in China now, so even the TV sets suck!

But, whatever floats YOUR boat, I guess...

Awwww, Vin! Glad you're interested in my boat's displacement!

Tonight's episode of Kitchen Nightmares was a really nice story. Hmmm... $1,500 worth? hmmmmm

Connie, I'm just doing my best to keep the rest of the net spam free.
