Angry Black Friday - Luck of the Scottish...

    LoL!

    You won't believe this, but...

I got bored and decided to resurrect an old P3, 64MB Fujitsu lappy (circa 2000) by installing W2K Pro in a partition. Everything was going great, until I setup a dial-up connection...

The %$#* MSIE 5.x browser (that comes on the CD) defaulted to MSN.com - where I promptly picked up a backdoor Trojan with my unprotected, virgin install. Took me several hours to figure it out some dick named 'carlton' had infiltrated the MSN site. %$#^ WinIce!!! I curse the guy that came up with that proggy - may he rot in hell...

So, now I'm doing a fresh install of W2K Pro again. Grrr...

    Lesson learned! MSN sucks!!!

How did your 'Black Friday' go?!?!?!

    EDIT

In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have named it SLIMER...

Second commentary: I'm trying to get rid of the Thanksgiving day beer.

I decided to do this by filtering it through my liver and kidneys, before spritzing the toilet seat!

    Observation: Budweiser Light sucks!

    EDIT

    Excuse me...

I guess it's officially referred to as "Bud Light".

Should have been named "Butt Lick"...

Anybody who drinks Bud (light or otherwise) deserves what they get. What happened to Red Dog? Happy Thanksgiving. Use your imagination

    We don't?

I do! A time to celebrate less spam, more time to run (overdue) defrags, a brief break from forum trolls, and to pick up on thinks my USA friends did wrong this Thanksgiving that I can remember NOT to do 30 days from now

For example, I won't be drinking Bud Lite, but I might resort to some Red Bull (Connie, is that what you meant?)

I drink Coors. Vin Drinks Red Dog. Never heard of Red Bull.

Just drink and be happy. That's my motto.

Red Dog is a fairly obscure beer here in the US that Vin has been known to drink in the past. According to WikiPedia:
Red Dog - Although popular during the mid to late 1990s, Red Dog faded into near-obscurity after the turn of the century. However, since 2005 it has been making a comeback of sorts, returning to stores. (source)
Red Bull is a popular energy drink:

Red Bull is the brand name of an energy drink that originated in Thailand and, in a version adapted to Austrian tastes, is now popular throughout the world. Sold by Red Bull GmbH as an energy drink to combat mental and physical fatigue... (source)
@Vin: One question.... WHY? Of all the beers out there--what were you thinking?

At one time, I liked the mystique! However, your question is based on la pretention faux...

My beer of choice, right now, is 211 Steel Reserve, aka Stiff Henry!

The better question would be: WHY? Of all the beers out there--what are you thinking?

To directly answer your question: I *suppose* I pick a brew, at any given time, that suits my mood and personality... How about you?

    BTW, speaking of beer...

Have you guys heard that the price of hops and barley (the primary ingredients in most American beers) have quadrupled in the last few months?!?!?!

Beer prices are supposed spike up, like gasoline, in the near future...

    I did a quick Google: http://www.newwest.net/city/article/...ers/C396/L396/

I prefer the other, that Red Bull is becoming a popular mixer with vodka

And when you wake up the next morning and can't peel back your eyelids, Red Bull (without the vodka) is then a popular "please try and get me through the day in one piece" tonic

Same over here Vin - We had freaky rain storms during the summer and it wiped out a lot of the crops. Now the brewers are trying to get a reduction in tax on beer to try to offset the price increase for ingredients, but that ain't gonna happen
